In January 2025, EPIC Network was founded by Doreen to empower entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds by sharing her lived experiences and expertise.
EPIC Network is a community dedicated to helping entrepreneurs unlock their full potential. We do this by providing a sapce for business, academy and community support needed to build thriving brands and live fulfilling lives free from fear, confusion, and burnout.

Doreen’s passion for wellness began as a personal journey, one she consistently documented through videos and photos across her social media platforms. In 2018, she decided to turn this passion into impact by launching the ‘30 Day Abs Workout Challenge’, inviting friends and followers from the UK, USA, Canada, and Uganda to join. Eleven participants took part in this online challenge, hosted on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. While commitment levels varied, the challenge was a meaningful step toward building a wellness-focused community.
Fast forward to 2024, after observing the alarming rise of obesity in the UK, USA, Uganda and across the African continent, along with the growing influence of fleeting beauty trends like BBLs and slimming pills & injections, many of which come with dangerous consequences, Doreen felt a deeper call to action. She launched Plus Wellness to provide a safe, inclusive space empowering women to prioritise their health, lose weight naturally, and embrace sustainable wellness over societal pressures.
Today, Plus Wellness stands as a movement, championing natural living, holistic health, and confidence from the inside out, proving that true beauty and wellbeing don’t require shortcuts, just commitment and community.
Plus-Size Fashion Fest Africa was born from a sense of urgency and purpose. During her travels to Uganda circa 2015 and while attending several fashion shows in Kampala, she noticed a striking disconnect; smaller-sized models dominated the runways, while the audience was filled with curvy and plus-size women. She found herself asking: Who are these collections speaking to? That moment sparked a mission within her. Doreen felt compelled to create a platform that not only celebrated body diversity but also amplified the beauty, confidence, and style of plus-size women, not only in Uganda and the African continent, too. In 2016, Plus-Size Fashion Fest Africa was born, a bold movement redefining African fashion and empowering women to be seen, heard and celebrated.
Doreen's childhood dream of being a fashion designer came true when she launched Dare, a clothing brand based in the UK and created to offer the modern and confident woman stylish clothing with a timeless feel. Between its inception in 2012 and its departure in 2022, the brand achieved considerable online success with customers in the UK, USA, Canada, and Uganda.
